This free standing
Real del Carmen villa in Playa Car has a large terrace
with an outdoor grill situated in front of one of
three swimming pools in this large but quiet complex
just minutes from the Playacar golf course and day
spa. It is a short distance from white sandy beaches,
shopping and restaurants on the famous 5th Avenue
of Playa del Carmen.
Additionally, we make available to you, a membership
at the near by Beach Club which provides access to
the beach and daily recreational activities. Here
you can enjoy free use of lounge chairs, pools, kids
club & palapas. The resort also offers an all-inclusive
deal (all you can eat and drink, including alcohol.
It can be purchased by one day or 1/2 day, the cost
approx. is $40 a day/per person, children $20 a day.
If you like to play golf or would enjoy a visit to
the day spa, my membership provides you discounts
here as well.

Transportation
Taxi
There are a couple of options.
1) There is a hotel about 5 minutes of walking distance (take
a right out of the Real del Carmen complex onto Avenue Xaman-ha
and walk 5 minutes to the first hotel) taxis pass through there
constantly.
2) You can also go to the security guard of the complex and request
a taxi. Security guards are on duty 24hours a day and can
be found walking the grounds of the complex.
3) If you have a cell phone the local Taxi Company is called Sindicato. The
phone number is 984-873-0032. If needed, they have people
that speak English. If you call for a pick up, the cost of
a trip from Real de Carmen to the main shopping district (5th Avenue)
is about 40 peso’s – only 30 peso’s if you hail
a cab on the street.

Directions
from The Cancun Airport
Exit the Cancun airport in about 3 min. you will take a right turn
onto Carretera (highway) to Playa del Carmen or Tulum.
From the highway, continue a few miles past the signs for Playa del
Carmen and on the left you will see a Sam’s Club (on the right
there is a large shopping center). Stay in the left lane and make a
U turn and then take the right into the entrance of Playa Car (before
the hospital). Go through the security booth and take the first right.
After ~2 minutes you will see the Real del Carmen complex on your right.
You will see the apartments first, and then continuing straight and
looking on the right, you will see white stand-alone houses. Number
13 is accessible directly from the main street.

Membership
and Discounts
With the rental of this home, we are happy to offer you our membership
to the Moon Spa & Golf Course and the Reef beach club.
The 18 hole Moon Golf Course was designed & built by Jack Nicklaus. It
is minutes from the apartment. The regular cost of 18 holes
is $180 USD. With our membership, you pay only $110. This
includes a cart and all you can eat and drink at the restaurant
or on the course. Club rental is regularly $50 USD, your
price is $30. The Day Spa and Salon offers a 20% discount
on all treatments. The swimming pool is free.

Beaches
1. The most popular beach
Leter G in your map If you enjoy sitting under the shade of a palapa
(a big umbrella made of palm branches), walking on a sandy white
beach, playing in turquoise water, seeing young people, drinking
a margarita, and eating in a great restaurants then we recommend
Mamitas beach. This world renowned beach is beautiful
and attracts tourists and locals alike. There is a volleyball
court, music, and a very festive atmosphere. The best entrance
is from 26th street.
To the left of Mamitas Beach Club is more serene and relaxing. Walk
as far as you like to find the perfect quiet spot.
2. The closest beach
Leter A in your map If your purpose is that your kids have a great
time, we would recommend you the Reef beach club, which is about
a 15 minute walk from the Real del Carmen and offers activities
for whole family. A map outlining the walk is attached. With
our membership you can use all of their amenities including the
pool, beach, palapas and activities such as volleyball, cooking
lessons, salsa dancing lessons and a kids club without charge. For
only $40.00 adults and $20.00 children you can have in addition,
all you can eat and drink in the restaurant or at the pool from
(9:00 am – 5:00 pm).
3. The most authentic beach
Leter E in your map, is the most authentic Mexican beach
in the area. It is about a 20 min walk from the Real del
Carmen. The people that come to this beach are fun. Here
you can enjoy fruits with lime, Mexican candy, and a small market
in the close by plaza. This beach is located close to the
ferry station to Cozumel.
